Chapter 485: Fear Of The Unknown
The man said as he began stepping forward mid-air, as if there was an invisible platform under his seat.
“I want to witness for myself, the capability of one holding an 80% bloodline purity…” The man said as he arrived right above Zera’s head, causing him to turn his listless eyes above him and suddenly the man dropped down, his leg rapidly magnifying in front of Zera’s entire range of vision, surprising Audrey.
The young man made no move at all as Audrey stopped his feet just an inch from touching Zera’s face.
They could all see that the young man, though visibly about to be stepped on the face, made no move at all to avoid it. freewebnσvel.cøm
Not even his eyebrows twitched nor did his eyes close and open for a second; not a single change in horror, and the same could be said for the cat on his shoulder, which also never stopped licking its paw.
“Hahahahaha…” A boisterous laughter echoed out from Audrey’s mouth as he descended right in front of Zera. Only now did Zera notice the man was just as tall as he was, a full 1.9 meters in height.
“Absolute Unflinching. I can sense that you weren’t afraid of getting stepped on by me at all. Almost as if you fully believe I wouldn’t step on your face. Tell me why? What gives you that confidence…” Audrey asked, curiosity flashing in his puzzled eyes.
“Because….” Zera said, his tone echoing out through the hall for the first time since he had arrived on the Giaran’s planet.
“You’re afraid…” Zera replied as everyone in the room had their expressions instantly changed to shock, not leaving the Giaran’s present at the top of the dais.
“You deserve death for that!” The roar of rage blasted out from the mouth of one of the 12 elder Giarans as the masculine figure rose from his seat, but he was stopped when suddenly Audrey himself raised up his head, stopping his motion.
“Tell me, why do you think I, a True Universe Origin Rank, am afraid of you, a person only at the Pseudo universe origin rank…” Audrey asked as Zera shook his head with a tired expression.
“When I came into this hall, you all looked at me. Every single one of you had your eyes and attention on me. You have never seen a being like me before, talking of physiological level.
I had created a sense of intrigue in you all and also a sense of caution. That was when your cultivation was valid. You all weren’t afraid, only cautious of me, because of your firm faith in the disparity between our cultivation bases.
But then you heard of my tale. Me being at the 80% bloodline purity. I am sure you all have only heard of someone being at the 80% bloodline purity, you all haven’t seen them eye to eye nor be so close to them as you are right now.
That sense of caution only grew more, and then you fell into the trap of your mind, faster than anyone in this hall did…” Zera explained as Audrey’s eyes narrowed.
“The trap of my mind…” “Yes. The trap of your mind. Your mind desperately needed to eliminate that feeling of cautiousness. After all, you’re so stronger than me, in your mind. Then you made a move, trying to break that mysterious aura of intrigue that surrounds me. You tried to step on my face, to see what I will do. To see if that aura of intrigue can crack open like an egg. But then, what your mind wanted never happened. I remained unflinching.
You were just an inch from stepping on my face, but then you didn’t.

Was there anything stopping you?
No!
Were you stronger than me and could defeat me? Yes!
Then why, why didn’t you do it, or to better say, why couldn’t you do it?
Fear! Your cautiousness turned to fear! The Fear of the Unknown!” Zera whispered out with a wide grin, his voice reverberating through the hall and into the ears of Audrey.
“No matter how strong you are, you will still be subjected to the fear of something you don’t know. Something that refused to fall into your trap and failed to go the way you predicted.
I knew that, and that is why I can remain unflinching in the first place. I know you wouldn’t do it because you’re afraid. It’s as simple as that…” Zera replied, silence enveloping the entire hall as each stared at him with furrowed eyebrows.
“Hahahahaha….” Suddenly another boisterous laughter, even more louder than the first, boomed through the hall as Audrey laughed.
“For how many years have I lived now, 3000, 5000, 10,000? I don’t really know. I’m tired of counting.
And how many years have I shown fear, I am sure it has never been more than 10. To be able to capitalize on such a brief moment of fear? I’m starting to like you already…” Audrey said with a smile as he stretched out his hands and clasped him on his shoulder.
“Still you have to show us you’re truly an 80% bloodline purity holder before any decision can be made…” He said as the same candle mysteriously appeared in his hands.
And he stretched it to Zera…
“Show me what I have only seen before thrice in a thousand years…” Audrey declared as Zera grabbed hold of the candle.
And immediately, a bright Halo illuminated the entire hall, as shock appeared all over their faces. 8 beams of powerful red light. It was unmistakable, and the shocks before the Giarans couldn’t be concealed.
People like this could cause entire clans to go into a world-ending war for. And now he stood before their eyes.
But among them, a total of three people in the hall sat with narrowed eyes. And those three were none other than D’arvey, Sylvia, and Roaryie, and currently a thought was running in their head.
The Lights. They weren’t demonic like the first time that Zera had shown them. It is like their demonic aura has been tuned down to the lowest level. Something that should be technically impossible. ‘Is he hiding his aura?’
