Victory Is Mine

At their high school graduation, a longtime rival suddenly confessed his feelings, catching him completely off guard. It wasn’t the kind of victory he had imagined after years of competition, but he still chose to see it as a win and walked away believing their story had finally come to an end. Years later, however, that same rival reappears—this time with a young child by his side.
The sight stirs up a mix of irritation and disbelief, making him question the sincerity of that past confession. Still, he tries to convince himself that none of it matters anymore—not the past, not the rival’s choices, and not the child. Yet beneath that confidence lies a lingering tension, as their unexpected reunion blurs the line between unresolved rivalry and complicated emotions.
