Regression of the Close Combat Mage

In a world on the brink of destruction, Vidrak the Death God launches a devastating invasion, threatening humanity’s very existence. The realm’s most powerful mages rise to confront him, only to discover that their formidable spells are rendered useless against the dark lord, who dismantles their efforts with ease. Faced with insurmountable odds and an army of monsters, Setsuna Cromwell, a long-range mage, resorts to the Amulet of Resurgence, allowing him to travel a decade into the past. Now back as a freshman for the second time, Setsuna must defy expectations by embracing melee magic—the least respected form of sorcery—and the only path that might give him a fighting chance against Vidrak.
